U2 Dedicates Songs to NZ Miners
This month you’ve probably heard about the 29 miners in New Zealand that were killed due to an underground explosion at the mine they were working.
A rescue attempted but after more explosions it looked highly unlikely that there would be any survivors.
It has been a very sad period for the New Zealand people.
U2 are in New Zealand on a world tour and dedicated their concerts to the memories of the 29 miners.
I think many people thought there would be some hope for the miners, especially after the rescue of the Chilean miners this year.
An investigation is continuing to find out what happened at the New Zealand mine.
