Since then artists like Ne-yo and Cyndi Lauper have had their concerts and raised funds for the Red Cross to help the disaster victims.
Many ex-pat musicians around Japan have found ways to not only spread their music and uplift spirits but to raise money.
Japanese artists have donated extensively as well.
Ayumi Hamazaki has donated \30 million and Namie Amuro \50 million.
Artists in New York have also set up charities for the March 11 victims.
Many artists have said that there is a strong fan base in Japan and will never forget the terrible tragedy that has struck this nation.
