Axl Rose Sues Guitar Hero
Axl Rose (48), frontman for rock band Guns N’ Roses has reportedly filed a $US20 million lawsuit against Activision, the maker of Guitar Hero.
Rose is claiming that the company has broken a deal by showing imagery of former Gunner’s guitarist Slash during the game’s usage of “Welcome to the Jungle”.
According to Rose, the company agreed not to portray any imagery of the former guitarist but on Guitar Hero III’s cover an animated image of Slash appears.
Rose says he only found out after they made an agreement that Slash and his band, Velvet Revolver, would appear on GH III.
Rose stated Activision lied to him and never mentioned Slash’s band was going to be included.
